2024.04.23

Rigaku (Akishima City, Tokyo; Jun Kawakami, President & CEO), part of the Rigaku Holdings group, and a global solution partner for X-ray analyzers, announced on March 12 that it has established a branch called "RCTW (Rigaku Corporation Taiwan Branch )" in Taiwan. The company has long been committed to promoting the ecosystem of semiconductor electronics, life science, and material science innovation in Taiwan, which plays a pivotal role in these fields. According to the company, this expansion marks a major milestone in its commitment. The technical support provided by RCTW will enable the company to better serve its customers in Taiwan and allow further collaboration with them in key areas such as foundries and high-volume fabs of semiconductors, biotechnological, pharmaceutical, chemical, university and academic industries.

Kiyoshi Ogata, Executive Vice President of Rigaku, said, "Rigaku has been providing products and services to customers in Taiwan for many years. However, rapid technological innovation has increased the need for ever closer cooperation. The establishment of RCTW will enable faster and closer collaboration between our technical team and customers. It will also increase the speed of R&D and manufacturing for Rigaku, which is headquartered in Japan."

The new company, RCTW, will be headed by Sam Chao, the Greater China representative of the Thin Film Devices Division, who has over 30 years of experience in the APAC semiconductor market. RCTW also plans to establish "Rigaku Taiwan Technical Center." It will include a demonstration facility and a state-of-the-art laboratory designed to accelerate the development process and products delivery.

Chao enthusiastically stated, "Through these efforts, we hope to deepen our cooperative relationship with Taiwanese customers."
